You make it happen!
Theatre Adventures gives middle school students the resources and freedom to shape and perform a play all on their own. In the fall, students will explore all aspects of the theatre production process, including performance, design, directing and stage management. In the winter, students will put their skills into action and mount an adaptation of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, with a final performance for the public at Round House Theatre.

Finally: it’s your chance to take center stage!
This workshop series allows seniors to explore all the ins and outs of theatrical performance. A rotating cast of professional theatre artisans will work with participants to explore everything from voice and movement, to improvisation and comedy for the stage. Register in advance for all eight sessions at a discounted rate or attend select days as a drop-in with no advance registration.

Imagine! Investigate! Explore! Play!
Using a children’s book each day, students will use songs, sign language, visual arts and creative drama activities to explore the world of the story.

Enhance your acting repertoire!
In this class, participants will perform scene excerpts from plays being produced in the 2008/2009 season at Round House Theatre. The diverse genre of these plays offer students the opportunity to explore different styles of acting by focusing on script analysis, movement, and characterization. Participants will also attend the Final Dress Rehearsal of a production at Round House Theatre Bethesda.

Engage Your Musical and Literary Senses
These special events, held in collaboration with Levine School of Music, will explore the music and sound incorporated in a Round House Theatre Bethesda production. There will be a workshop from 1:00 – 2:00pm, followed by refreshments, and then a performance of either Alice or Eurydice with a post-performance discussion immediately following. Come to one or both. The Alice event is recommended for ages 6 and up, while Eurydice is designed for ages 16 and up. Registration includes the price of the ticket.
